Mark your calendars, because Arka Fashion Week is coming back for a fourth edition. From 5-7 December, 2025, the hugely successful platform has put together a comprehensive programme for Dhaka residents, with the aim of elevating creative industries and strengthening the nation’s global presence and helping Bangladesh cement its position as tastemakers.
This year’s program offers an exciting and diverse line-up of runway shows, masterclasses and a marketplace, along with a slew of live performances to keep the energy high. The organisers are aiming to create a space for an exchange of ideas and an arena for creative expression. Each of the three days for the event has a particular theme: “Modern” for Day 1, “Heritage” for Day 2, and “Sustainability” for Day 3, and the runway shows and workshops will reflect on these themes.
This season is a tribute to Jamdani, and to that aim, attendees can expect live demonstrations by artisans, student runways featuring upcycled Jamdani, and a venue that makes use of iconic Jamdani motifs to forward the beauty of this geometric art form.
As always, sustainability is a core tenet for Arka Fashion Week, and the Marketplace this year features fully organic, reusable and sustainably built stalls to reduce waste and encouraging responsible event design.
The event will kick off on 5 December with a special launch of Collective Live, and an energetic morning session of live performances to set the tone for the entire weekend.
