Of Shores Sunsets & Beaches- A step forward for the fashion industry

The glitz and glamour of Dhaka’s fashion industry made its way to the beaches of Cox’s Bazar for an exotic love affair on October 19, 2018. Hosted jointly by Amishe and Chantilly, “Of Shores, Sunsets & Beaches” treated its guests with the chicest designs and stylistic nuances of their respective collections. The event was brought to you by Mitsubishi Motors Limited and ICE Today as partners.

This wasn’t a typical show but more of an experience for the invited 180 guests. Everyone invited was flown by Regent Airways and were indulged in an all-expense-covered stay at Sayeman Resort of Cox’s Bazaar where the show was staged right at the beach front

This wasn’t a typical show but more of an experience for the invited 180 guests. Everyone invited was flown by Regent Airways and were indulged in an all-expense-covered stay at Sayeman Resort of Cox’s Bazaar where the show was staged right at the beach front. It turned out to be a marvelously executed string of events and experiences as the crème de la crème of society were all taken care of with individual care and hospitality. Guests were checked in at the resort by the afternoon right before lunch was served and with a bit of a rest to absorb what was about to come, the evening began. Right after dawn, guests indulged themselves in the subtle and minimalistic designs of Chantilly outfits as well as the meticulously crafted timeless jewelleries of Amishe, as show lights lit up the waves of the sea and the gentle night breeze swept the show. Each of the designs were themed to embody the beach as well as the many colours of the sky as the day goes by. Starting from the playful combination of a pink outfit adorned with pearls to outfits and accessories reflecting the gentle hues of sunset, it was truly enchanting. As the daylight faded away and we were graced by the moon, things took a bold turn as audiences were treated to a louder and more intricate flavour of designs. This was highlighted by the dexterity of the sarees designed by Selina Nusrat of Chantilly and the lavishness of the jewellery designed by Sohana Rouf Choudhury of Amishe.

The aesthetics of the designs were indeed a feast to the eyes but the event itself was a step forward for the fashion industry of Bangladesh. The charm of the event was further enhanced by the mystique of the beach and it received an overwhelming response from the audience. The fashion show was concluded by inviting designers, all the models and their coordinator, Azra Mahmud to the stage where the two designers fully displayed all the outfits and jewellery followed by a few kind words.

The entire journey gave the fashionable guests an immersive and memorable experience. Every element in its place provided for an unforgettable event, something the organisers have promised to beat next year.
