From the business-minded Shruti in Band Baaja Baaraat, to playing the cancer stricken pragmatic Alizeh in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, no one quite embodies the role of a raucously humorous and independently headstrong woman the way Anushka Sharma does. Even in her latest film – Phillauri – Anushka brings her tried and tested method in portraying the poetry penning ghost Shashi. However, her role wasn’t scary but rather sweet and loving.
Breaking out of the monotony of her previous roles, Anushka does a full one eighty in her upcoming new film Pari. Gone is the comically clever woman we have all come to expect from the starlet. Instead the trailer treats viewers to an intensely frightening new avatar full of blood-curdling shrieks and demonic vocal projections.
The supernatural horror film stars talents like Parambrata Chatterjee and Rajat Kapoor and is set to be released on March 2 this year.
