DC has somewhat suffered from a hit lately. The recent live action adaptation of Justice League could not meet the expectations of fans. Well, most of them at least, I’m sure many enjoyed the film but the general consensus does not favour it. However, while Marvel may have the upper-hand when it comes to live action films, DC is the undisputed king of animated ones. There is a plethora of animated DC films to choose from but we have picked 5 of the best that will surely help you regain some faith in DC.
1. Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox
Starting the list with arguably the best, this animated DC film will keep you on the edge each second as Barry Allen aka the Flash’s bid to change the past completely changes the DC universe. Just out of curiosity, who do you think will win if all the Justice League members squared off?
2. Batman: Under the Red Hood
There are so many Batman animated films to choose from but we decided to go with the one that is the most action-packed. A new masked vigilante is in town who is not sparing any criminals and unlike Batman, he does not have any no-killing policies. Who is under the Red Hood? You will be shocked to find out.
3. Justice League: War
You have seen Thanos in the new Avengers trailer. Well, how about his DC counter-part Darkseid? In many ways an origin story of the Justice League, this film will give you the taste of all the potential the gang possesses and how the real life adaptation should have been made as they take on the mighty Darkseid.
4. Batman: Assault on Arkham
Speaking of real life adaptations, if you are heartbroken with how horrible the suicide squad was, this will fix you. More action every second than the real film had on its entirety, the suicide squad has never been more badass than this.
5. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
What’s better than one Kryptonian who kicks butts? Two Kryptonians who kick double the butts. Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El better known as Supergirl makes her debut in this film and she might just be more powerful than her cousin. Watch them teaming up with Batman and Wonder Woman as they take on Darkseid and his henchmen.
