The three-day spectacle that was Arka Fashion Week Winter ’25 concluded in Dhaka on 7 December 2025, solidifying its role as a pivotal event for Bangladesh’s creative economy. The event brought together a broad spectrum of designers, artisans, students, and audiences from across the country for a period of creative exchange, runway showcases, and cultural exhibitions.
This season showcased the depth and diversity of Bangladesh’s evolving creative identity. The fashion landscape presented ranged from modest-wear and contemporary street style to sustainable design and heritage couture. This comprehensive approach reinforced Arka’s vision of democratising fashion and supporting local creative industries by welcoming diverse styles, ages, and backgrounds.
Central to the storytelling of Arka Fashion Week Winter ’25 was the beautiful and historic Jamdani motif. This motif was a guiding element in the branding, venue design, and direction of the runway, giving the entire event a profound sense of cultural grounding.

The celebration of Bangladesh’s rich artisanal history was a highlight of the week, deepened by Arka’s collaboration with Aarong. This partnership allowed six master artisans to demonstrate live techniques for the audience. Attendees were able to witness the roots of the nation’s fashion culture firsthand through demonstrations in Jamdani, Pottery, Nakshi-Kantha, Karchupi, Rickshaw Painting, and Sericulture.
The runway featured a compelling mix of established and emerging voices, reflecting the vibrant energy of the local design scene. Brands showcased included Kathal, Aranya, Taan, Guzel, and Sotta, alongside collections from student designers and those focused on sustainability.
Arka Fashion Week continues to serve as a platform dedicated to shifting Bangladesh’s global identity from one that primarily exports garments to one that exports fashion. This future is being shaped by a synergistic combination of design innovation, community engagement, and cultural heritage.
