Dhaka, a city steeped in history and culture, witnessed an unprecedented celebration of athleticism and heritage on 8 March 2024 at the inaugural Turaag Active Dhaka 25K Run, organised by Run Bangladesh. With 2,000 runners from 15 countries coming together at Hatirjheel, this internationally-certified race marked a pivotal moment for the running community and the capital itself.

In a display of sheer determination and prowess, Imran Hasan claimed the coveted title in the 25K category, with Ashraful Alam and Arman Numusin securing the runner-up positions. Meanwhile, Shawlin Sigma emerged triumphant in the Female 25K category, alongside formidable contenders Sarwat Parveen and Eri Lee Koike.


More than just a race, the Turaag Active Dhaka 25K Run 2024 was a celebration of Dhaka’s rich cultural heritage.


The event wasn’t just about the long-distance runners; it embraced participants of all ages and abilities. Golam Rahat and Samia showcased their speed and endurance in the 10.3 KM category, while young talents like Yash Rooman and Rawasiya Rooman left an indelible mark in the 3 KM kids’ category.
