In a serene setting at Gulshan Society Lake Park, the 2nd edition of Dhaka Flow’s Festival of Yoga & Wellness unfolded between November 10 – 11, 2023. This transformative event offered a unique amalgamation of free classes, expert panels, art, music, and a firm commitment to environmental consciousness.
Yoga Shala Experience
This year’s festival featured 24 free classes covering yoga, meditation, boxing, dance, singing, and fitness, all held in the tranquil Yoga Shala of the park. Additionally, 12 panel discussions, powered by Turaag Active, explored crucial topics like mental health, wellness for all, clean energy, and fitness.
Opening Ceremony and Run
The festival was inaugurated with an opening ceremony on Friday at 9 am, led by Dhaka Flow co-founder and renowned yogini, Shazia Omar. Saturday morning commenced with a rejuvenating 5 km run, powered by Pathao around Gulshan Society Lake Park at 8 am.
Art Zone and Musical Performances
Attendees immersed themselves in the festival’s art zone, participating in workshops and witnessing live creations by prominent artists, later auctioned off on Saturday afternoon. Musical performances, powered by Prime Bank and presented by Prem Jhuri and Beatmosphere, provided a platform to elevate vibrational frequencies. A candlelight vigil and prayers addressed the current affairs’ impact.
Kids Zone and Women’s Health Awareness
The kids zone buzzed with activities for children of all ages, while Popular Pharmaceuticals raised awareness about cervical cancer and provided HPV vaccines. Renata Ltd. showcased a diverse range of nutraceutical products promoting overall health.
National Ayurveda Day
In honor of National Ayurveda Day, the festival witnessed the launch of a book on Ayurveda basics by Dr. Sharlin Bharti. Two ayurvedic massage booths, a panel discussion by Aarong Earth, and readings by prominent authors enriched the celebration.
Mindfulness and Support Sessions
The meditation garden hosted day-long mindfulness sessions and support group discussions on coping with chronic pain, cancer, grief, addiction, and thriving with children on the spectrum.

Dhaka Flow showcased an environmentally-conscious approach, pledging to minimize plastic waste, provide nourishing vegetarian foods, and offer free classes for all.
