Kahve is a one of a kind garden café situated in Banani, which offers a peaceful coffee experience close to nature.
Established in October 2020, Kahve Garden Cafe is a joint partnership by Md Tausif Rahman, Maruf Billah, Khwaja Mohammad Hamza, and Kashshaf Labeeb. Situated in Banani, the heart of the capital, Kahve Garden Café aesthetically offers the serenity of nature.
The interior of the café is adorned with small tables and chairs along with books.
The interior section resembles a tunnel that navigates toward the green garden outside. The extended outdoor area is the major attraction of the café. The wooden texture of the floor gives an aura of the forest, as sunlight peeks through the shades of leaves. Patrons enjoy their meals under the shade, while youngsters can enjoy a ride in nearby swings.
About the outdoor design, Md Tausif said, “In this fast-paced urban life, we wanted to establish a coffee place which is close to nature. We have regular customers coming to our café. The younger crowd usually visit during the evening. The openness of our café with nature-like aura is mentally refreshing and relaxing for them.”
THE CAFÉ HOLDS A DIVERSE RANGE IN ITS MENU. KAHVE HAS VARIOUS CATEGORIES OF HOT AND COLD BEVERAGES. BESIDES, IT ALSO OFFERS APPETIZERS AND FAST FOOD
The development and renovation of the entire restaurant have been challenging. Khawaja Mohammad Hamza shared, “Taking the whole plot for establishing Kahve was an enormous challenge for us. When we took this place it was damp and muddy thronged with ferns and weeds. Somehow in that jungle-like place, I saw a possibility of a beautiful establishment. I asked Labib if he was interested in this Garden Café project. He said yes and managed an amount to invest. After that, we had some architects gauge the place for interior decoration. However, as their services were too expensive, we took the task of decorating upon ourselves. Starting from scratch, we cleared the pipeline, dug the plot, and did the overall renovations. Our belief and instinct led us to transform this damp plot to a nature-themed café. So, Kahve came into being from nothing, to everything.”
Kahve has a diverse menu consisting of various hot and cold beverages, a range of appetizers, and fast food. The most popular items at Kahve are fish fingers, potato wedges, baked chicken pasta, along with their cappuccino and the Kahve Latte.
Kahve takes customer feedback into serious consideration. Constructive customer feedback is taken at the end of meals. Regarding customer feedback, Maruf Billah said, “In our country, the importance of customer reviews and opinions is being established. It’s a very commendable norm. When customers give feedback on our service, food, and overall ambience of the cafe, we feel inspired to do better.”
The café turned a year old last November. Its process of execution and development occurred amidst the pandemic. The uncertainty and adversity of the pandemic posed as a big challenge for Kahve. Tausif commented, “During the COVID-19 pandemic, we went through 3 phases of lockdown. It impeded our progress. As all our customers were organically retained, we tend to lose that flow of customers by the end of each lockdown. Fortunately, the situation has been stable for the past few months. We are now doing much better with our service.”
WHEN CUSTOMERS GIVE FEEDBACK ON OUR SERVICE, FOOD, AND OVERALL AMBIENCE OF THE CAFE, WE FEEL INSPIRED TO DO BETTER
Tausif further added, “A few days ago, we celebrated Kahve’s 1st anniversary. We called up all our regular customers, our friends, and families who have been our rock throughout the journey. With some great music and delicious food, we celebrated our anniversary.”
The young and energetic Kahve Garden Café is brimming with great plans ahead. Regarding its plans, Maruf said, ‘Any venture we invest in is meant to expand. So in future, we are planning to expand Kahve by opening branches in different locations. Apart from that, we are also in the process of introducing new food items for our customers.’
In just one year, Kahve has grown steadily. Kahve is highly recommended for those who love to stay close to nature.
