Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide organization of young professionals and leaders between the ages of 18 and 40. The organization has a reach in over 120 countries and has a membership of 200,000 across the world. Our work is to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop leadership skills, social responsibility, fellowship, and entrepreneurship necessary to create positive change. Our activities, ranging from small local programs, provide opportunities for members to develop and use their skills to help themselves and those around them. JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan, being a local chapter, plays an integral role in doing developmental work in the society in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Especially in underprivileged communities and schools through its legacy projects like Legal Aid Camps, Maternity Health Camps, Project Nobarun, Project Protirodh- a disaster management project, and other education-related projects. JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan is seeking to expand its impact within the community through diverse initiatives.

The International Sarcasm Squad (ISS) is a community of 30,000 like-minded active members, comedians and entertainers in Bangladesh and Jordan, who provides a platform for new entertainers and promote awareness on social issues through comedy. In the past, the ISS entertainers – stand-up comedians, magicians and musicians – brought awareness to social issues such as drug addiction to hundreds of young people in the audience.

CLS will bring together aspiring groups of stand-up comedians, magicians, and musicians and provide them with a platform to showcase their innate talents, practice their freedom to speech, laugh, and entertain without prejudices- promoting the new industry of stand-up comedy. In the year 2020, the focus of this night will be on active citizens from the Junior Chamber International (JCI) promoting their social initiatives, social projects and open registrations to promote volunteerism in our communities to address local needs with sustainable impact.

The hospitality partner for the event is Roll Xpress Cafe, the radio partner is Radio ABC. The event is co-sponsored by BAGDOOM.COM, MANS Electrical Ltd. and Petrochem Group.
