A journey through China with Shakib Al Hasan organised by Huawei Consumer Business Group

Five lucky fans got a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to visit China from June 29 to July 04 this year with Shakib Al Hasan, one of the best cricket players in the world. Organised by Huawei Consumer Business Group, Shakib Al Hasan along with the fans toured state of the art Huawei facilities as well as historic and modern Chinese sites.

The lucky fans were selected through a contest titled ‘Who Doesn’t Want to Go to China with Shakib’ launched by Huawei Consumer Business Group. For the contest, contestants had to take a selfie at a Huawei Store nationwide and post it on Facebook with the hash tag #ShakiberSatheChina, with privacy set to ‘Public.’ They then had to take a quiz consisting of simple questions about Huawei and Shakib Al Hasan. Huawei selected five lucky winners among those participants.

This is what two of the winners had to say:

“It was hard to believe that Shakib Al Hasan, the best all-rounder in the world, was about to join us for the tour, till he reached the airport at noon. We, along with Shakib, got to know Huawei’s present and future technologies at the Huawei Exhibition Center. In the Huawei Research and Development Center, we observed the processes of making a handset. Shakib with his wife and daughter joined us the next day at the Great Wall of China.

This was truly a wonderful experience to me. The amazing hospitality from Huawei and Shakib’s humble company was memorable,” expressed Raiyan Kabir.

The journey through China was undoubtedly the best Eid gift I could expect, especially because the exceptional Shakib Al Hasan was among us.In the lounge, Shakib shared some of his stories regarding his cricket journey. I got his autograph, had traditional Chinese cuisine, and visited the world’s greatest electronics market named Huaqiangbei, pronounced huá qiáng běi.
