Here’s our take on The Mummy: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The concept of rebooting is still going strong with The Mummy being the newest addition to the phenomenon. The franchise is all set for its reboot with the first movie of the installment, The Mummy scheduled to be released next month. After watching the trailer, we can’t help but get all excited about what awaits us. Read along as we breakdown the good, the bad and the ugly of what could potentially be one of the blockbusters of the summer.

The Good

Tom Cruise as Nick Norton

Fun fact: Tom Cruise was also offered the role of Rick O’ Connell in the 1999 version of the film which was ultimately played by Brendan Fraser. Guess you can’t stop fate, eh?

Sofia Boutella as the Mummy

If you think Sofia Boutella looked dangerous in Star Trek or Kingsman, you should buckle up for this because she is about to wreak havoc!

The Bad

Much of the plot is given away in the trailer

It is never a good thing when the trailer tells you almost everything that is going to happen in the movie. Where’s the fun in that?

We are excited regardless though

The Ugly

The end of the world

The Mummy is seeking revenge and will spare no one. Things will get ugly as she is looking to reshape the world. We certainly hope Tom Cruise is equipped enough to stop her.
