What was your funniest memory on the runway?
I don’t know if it’s funny but I had once broken my heel on the runway. I didn’t realise it at first. As I walked on the ramp I noticed that somehow I had slid to a side. I looked down to see that one of heels was lying on the stage! I still continued walking on the ramp as confidently and quickly as I could. I won’t say it’s entirely funny but it is definitely one of the most memorable moments of my life!
What do you think about when you’re in front of the camera?
When I face the camera, my mind goes blank. That’s how I try to focus on the work at hand.

But I normally don’t get bothered by what people say behind my back.

Some things can be both hard and easy. It all depends on our mindset. When it comes to the fashion industry, patience is a quintessential factor. Good times and bad times both come and go. What’s your fitness regime?

Three tips you’d give to new comers in the modelling industry?
First of all, you need to know what’s suitable for you. Some have a natural flare for the ramp while others are photogenic. You need to know your forte and work on that. Secondly, you have to be patient. Some may become successful in a year or two while for others, it may take more time to establish themselves as prominent models. Never lose heart, keep gaining as much experience as you can. Thirdly, be careful with your attitude while working in the fashion industry. Some models tend to become conceited and arrogant once they get a taste of fame. You have to keep a positive attitude towards your work and your peers at all times. And lastly, like any other profession, punctuality is key.
