“Our skin is a reflection of what we eat. Eating well gives your skin natural health that makeup cannot substitute. Keep it hydrated. Yoga also lends my skin the gorgeous glow that rarely requires much makeup. Sleeping 8 to 9 hours a night is a must for me.Your skin and body cannot provide results if you do not give it enough time to recuperate. I never leave makeup on my face overnight and I use neem packs to detoxify my skin. I also never step out of the house without sunscreen”.

“As a rule, I never use soap on my face. Instead, I wash it every morning, first with warm and then with cold water. I follow it up with a moisturiser and an eye cream. Because it’s resting time for the skin at night, I never sleep with makeup on. I cleanse it thoroughly with a mix of Johnson’s baby oil, olive oil and Bio oil and wipe it off with a warm, wet towel. I also drink around 10 glasses of warm water to detoxify and hydrate my skin. I am a spa junkie and frequently treat myself to a deep tissue massage”.

Cleansing, toning and moisturizing are 3 stages of my skincare regime. I drink surplus water to detoxify my body of impurities. My staple products for skin are an SPF moisturiser for the daytime and a hydrating cream for the night. I do not go for regular facials but a thorough cleansing every once in a while. I avoid wearing makeup when not on sets and love a loofah over a soap bar for bathing as it improves blood circulation. I’m not a fan of skipping meals and eat a mixed diet of protein and carbs. I eat small meals 6 times a day.

“I like to keep my look simple and my beauty routine is no exception. I don’t go for weekly facials. Instead, I opt for a good hydrating cream in winter and light moisturisers in summer. I never, ever skip sunscreen. My favourite makeup look is something that looks very effortless and deconstructed, like dewy skin, very natural eyes and nude or pink lips”.
Mila Kunis
“For me, less is always more. I prefer accentuating just one feature of my face, which almost always gets to be my eyes. I prefer not to use makeup in real life at all. In fact, if my huge eyes are lined with pencil, people would think I just forgot to wash off my makeup after a party. I owe my good skin to my diet. While I stick to mostly vegetarian food, I do sometimes include lean meat or fish. I also drink at least 10 glasses of water; water is an excellent detoxifier. Another thing lending evenness and glow to my skin is exercise. While I prefer pilates, I love yoga and practice meditation whenever I can”.

“Beauty is from inside out. It is very important to be healthy and active because it reflects on how you look. I take very good care of my skin, ensuring especially that I take off all my makeup before the day is over. Makeup is something that you require as much as you wear. You have to get comfortable with how you look without it. It can also start to look overdone if you wear it every day. I make it a point to wear very little makeup, especially on off days. When I eat well and give it adequate sun protection, I automatically look a lot better”.
