Salbhi Sumaiya is a graduate of Shanto-Mariam University, Dhaka. Drawing since childhood, she has also been actively participating in various exhibitions and won several national and international awards for her exceptional work.
Salbhi Sumaiya’s sketches narrate the untold stories of Rohingya faces, evoke an appeal to humanity and plea for compassion, obtained from the book “Exiled to Nowhere : Burma’s Rohingya” by Greg Constantine. It aims to appeal to the global community to help the Rohingyas reclaim their citizenship rights as they are victims of persecution.
