Picture this! Soft and succulent pieces of meat cooked in a perfect blend of aromatic spices mixed with a steaming pile of fragrant rice in just the right amount with flavoursome aloo delicately tucked in. A plate of well-cooked biryani is all that it takes to put you into a trance.
Over the course of time, Biryani has garnered quite a loyal fan-following, to the point that some regard their love for Biryani with a burning passion. While others serenade their lovers and dedicate odes to them, the Biryani brigade in the video has taken it up a notch with this catchy rendition of the popular song “Shape of you,” professing their love for the mighty Biryani.
The video gets all of us to agree that literally anytime is a good time for Biryani, be it midnight munchies or a romantic date. And yes, it perhaps is one of the few things we don’t like to share. And hasn’t the subconscious thought of devouring a glorious plate of Biryani laden with hidden treasures like those ever-elusive aloos gotten all of us excited about attending every random wedding we get invited to?
If there is one thing that makes us forget about our diet and indulge in a guilty pleasure, that’s definitely Biryani. But of course, while you are devouring a plate full of aromatic biryani, watch out for the elaichi booby-traps!
The video perfectly strikes a chord with all Biryani lovers when it says that just one serving is never enough. It is something meant to be eaten to your heart’s content, maybe with an additional helping of kebab and raita.
It also doesn’t forget to mention the cardinal rule of eating Biryani with your hands and not a spoon. It may sound like an exaggeration to some but only a true Biryani aficionado knows that eating biryani with your hands truly makes a difference. Like a true Biryani lover, the video doesn’t hesitate to also remind us how Vegetarian Biryani is an abomination in the name of all Biryani. This might have been the only time we agreed with Donald Trump.
Be it Ambur Hyderabadi Mughlai or Bengali, our love for Biryani knows no bounds. Watch this video to relive those instances of enjoying this gastronomic wonder or maybe grab a plate already because we bet this got you craving for some.
May your Biryani always come with a leg piece.
