G Sumdany Don Helps You Break Out of Your Comfort Zone

Going in front of a camera for an audition or a presentation, can be a challenge for many of us. The aftermath of the shyness might result in mumbling, forgetting your lines as well as stammering which takes a toll on your self-confidence. From my experience of acting in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s blockbuster movie ‘Pipra Bidda,’ and then being a part of many TVCs and inspirational videos, here are few tips and examples on how you can curb your camera shyness.
Practice is The Key Practice not only results in perfection but also enhances predictability. The more you practice, the more you can create a mental map of the situations that might arrive while you are in front of the camera. To practice, you can: read your script out loud, record it, listen to it and alter it as you see fit. If you are up for an audition for photo-shoot, you can try out the expressions and other details beforehand and figure out the right one.

Visualize During my NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) training experience, I was introduced to the concept of visualization. Visualisation is a mental trick to boost your confidence level and reduce nervousness. Way before you head up to an audition, visualise the entire journey. Visualise a positive scenario that you are doing exactly what is needed to be done. Break it down to the details, and visualise. Like Napoleon Hill said inspired by Buddha “What you think, you become.”
What you’re feeling is absolutely normal The nervousness, anxiety, forgetting the lines are faced by many others as well. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra. So, you need to do your extra to ensure your performance is standing out. So, take your nervousness for granted, but do your bit to at least minimize if not mitigate the feeling. Be confident from the very beginning of your practice because, how you feel even before you walk into the studio will determine how you will end up performing.
You Are a Star When you are in front of the camera, know that you are a star already. If you cannot feel like one, how can you be one? Do things that makes you feel confident. Dress up, suit up, do your hair the way you love and be yourself. You are you, and that is your power. Being yourself will depict your core abilities, whether it is smiling, gesture, voice etc. So, be as you are. Focus on the areas excel in and turn it into your strength, that will make you stand out in your performance.

From Shyness to Boldness Dove Global Self-Esteem Ambassador Jess Weiner remarked, “Negative talk makes everyone feel anxious about their looks. The more positive affirmations you make about her own beauty, the more her self-confidence will soar.” So, try not to second guess your beauty, ability and credibility. Keep your mind away from negative or limiting beliefs and be confident about yourself. Be assured that if 10 other people can do it well, you can do it even better!
