J. is a South Asian lifestyle brand with a strong global presence available in North America, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the GCC, and Bangladesh. It has distinguished themselves in the fragrance market by blending style, scent, and cultural storytelling, turning fragrances into personal narratives. Their portfolio is one that feels both familiar and aspirational; scents that quickly become lifestyle cornerstones.

In late January, they opened their third outlet in Bangladesh, at Centrepoint Uttara. To celebrate this new milestone, they launched a line of fragrances inspired by Bangladeshi cricket stars Taskin Ahmed and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim started out as a teen sensation, and over twenty years of growth, now holds the mantle of the country’s oldest Test cricketer. He is the longest-serving international cricketer currently active. Weathering the good times and the bad, Mushfiqur has built himself into a Bangladesh legend. The MR 15 fragrances capture these qualities.

MR 15 by Mushfiqur Rahim

Top notes: Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon
Middle notes: Red fruits
Base notes: White musk, Madagascar vanilla, Amber

This fragrance opens with crisp citrus notes that are grounded by bergamot to set a tone of discipline shaped by experience. The first whiff gives you consistency without flash.

The heart introduces the warmth and intensity of red fruits. The composed sweetness speaks to balance and emotional intelligence, reflective of a leader who carries pressure calmly and lets his performance do the talking.

The base notes of white musk, Madagascar vanilla, and amber leave a clean, grounded, and reassuring finish. The musk keeps it close to the skin, vanilla brings restraint and warmth, and amber adds depth and endurance. The dry down feels steady and dependable, built to last.

This is a fragrance that reflects resilience, consistency, and earned authority. Like Mushfiqur Rahim, it is focused, composed, and quietly enduring.

MR 15 Bold by Mushfiqur Rahim

Top notes: Bergamot, sweet orange, ginger, nutmeg, black pepper
Middle notes: White flowers, violet, thrush, tonka bean, orange blossom
Base notes: Ambergris, moss, Guaiac wood, incense, Cabreuva wood

Shifting gears, this fragrance opens with impact. Bergamot and sweet orange signal a sharp, confident brightness, charged by ginger, nutmeg, and black pepper. The spice is immediate and controlled, suggesting aggression with discipline. It feels like momentum built from experience.

The heart adds complexity. White flowers and violet soften the edges, while tonka bean and orange blossom add richness and warmth. There is contrast here, strength paired with composure. It reflects a leader who can push hard and then steady the room.

The base is dark, grounded, and commanding. Ambergris adds salinity and depth, moss introduces earthiness, and guaiac and cabreuva woods bring dry intensity. Incense lingers, giving the dry down a sense of gravitas and presence. This is where the fragrance holds its ground.

This scent captures Mushfiqur Rahim at his most formidable. Decisive, resilient, and unafraid of weight. It is bold without chaos, powerful without excess, and designed to leave a lasting impression long after the moment has passed.

Taskin Ahmed

The leader of Bangladesh’s fast-bowling attack in the post-Mashrafe Mortaza era, Taskin Ahmed had two phases in his international career: he was quick and erratic before injuries and poor form forced him into the wilderness for three years. After he made his comeback in 2021, he had matured into a disciplined fast bowler, and went on to rank among Bangladesh’s top wicket-takers in the white-ball formats. The Strike duo by J. captures the duality of this dynamic player.

Strike by Taskin Ahmed

Top notes: Bergamot, lemon, camphor, eucalyptus
Middle notes: Jasmine, Lily of the valley, orange blossom, fresh flowers, yellow fruits
Base notes: Ambergris, woody notes, vanilla

This fragrance opens fast and sharp with bright and cutting bergamot and lemon made bolder by camphor and eucalyptus. The opening is cooling, yet restless. It has speed, lift, and a sense of unpredictability, like energy released before it is fully harnessed.

The heart brings florals and fruit, jasmine, lily of the valley, orange blossom, and yellow fruits. There is freshness and optimism here, but also a slight looseness. The notes overlap without settling, creating a sense of movement. It feels expressive, talented, and still searching for balance.

In the base, ambergris and woody notes finally anchor the composition. Vanilla softens the edges, hinting at maturity yet to come. The dry down is calmer and more rounded, but traces of the initial sharpness remain, reminding you where the scent began.

This fragrance captures Taskin Ahmed in his early career. Explosive, exciting, full of promise; not fully refined, but impossible to ignore.

Strike Pride by Taskin Ahmed

Top notes: Bergamot, sweet orange
Middle notes: White flowers, mint
Base notes: Ambergris

This fragrance announces itself with more clarity than speed. Bergamot and sweet orange are bright but controlled, clean and assured. There is freshness here, without volatility. The opening feels intentional, like a bowler who knows exactly where the ball will land.

The heart pares things back. White flowers add balance and composure, while mint brings a cool, measured sharpness. It feels focused and disciplined; the freshness has structure. Nothing is fighting for attention, and every note knows its role.

The base settles into ambergris: smooth, steady, and persistent. The fragrance carries length and confidence without being weighed down. The dry down stays close, composed, and consistent.

This scent reflects Taskin Ahmed after his comeback: more focused, more controlled, and mentally sharper. Still fresh, still impactful, but now driven by discipline rather than raw force.
