It must feel great to be performing for your hometown again after ten years. What are your thoughts on the local music scene now compared to when you last left?
It felt amazing to perform for my home audience after such a long time, and I believe their love for me was ten times stronger than before. As for my impression of the local music scene, the synthwave genre is thriving now, compared to ten years ago. Indalo and The Zafars are particularly notable.
You’ve been creating music as a solo artiste for some time. What have you been busy with?
I have been occupied with creating instrumental music and vocal-based songs, which will be released in the future.
As a Bangladeshi musician who has achieved success abroad, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced in breaking into the international music scene?
I have to stay updated with what is happening around me and constantly strive to work harder than before. I am making a conscious effort to observe how the video industry is evolving, and stay relevant. This process has been both challenging and rewarding. However, I have always enjoyed taking on challenges.
You recently performed at Rock N’ Rhythm 4.0. What were some of your most memorable moments from the concert?
The moment I entered the gate, a large crowd was waiting for me. If you watch my YouTube channel, you’ll understand why I’m so moved by what happened on May 10th. Many people were crying upon seeing me after such a long time. This feeling will remain in my heart until I return.
Do you have any plans for future collaborations with Bangladeshi musicians or bands?
Yes, I do, and I also want to collaborate with individuals who may not necessarily be from the rock music industry. My aim is to broaden my musical reach.
