GROOVE IS IN THE AIR

The resplendent sounds of music and the vibrant hues of art converged at the Bashundhara Cricket Ground in Dhaka on 18 and 19 April for the Let’s Vibe Art & Music Festival, a two-day extravaganza organised by Blues Communications that left attendees in awe. This festival exceeded expectations, offering two days filled with music, dance, and art exhibitions. Attendees were treated to a variety of attractions, including two distinct stages, a grand stage and an art stage, which featured a stellar lineup of artistes.

Bangladeshi favourites Shunno graced the stage after a one and a half-year hiatus, delighting fans with their soulful tunes. Aftermath opened the stage for the first day. Concurrently, on the art stage, Dad’s in the Park mesmerised the audience with their captivating performance.

What many may not realise is that the event was a successful recovery from a difficult situation. A storm caused significant damage to the setup shortly before the festivities were scheduled to start on 17 April, putting the entire event at risk. However, thanks to the quick response and skill of Blues Communications and their committed team, the stage was rebuilt overnight, guaranteeing that the show continued as scheduled.

Despite the challenges posed by the storm, the event had an impressive turnout, with around 4,000 attendees on the first day and 8,000 on the second day. The Let’s Vibe Art & Music Festival  was not just a gathering of music enthusiasts; it was a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the unifying power of art and music. As the sounds of the performances fade, the memories of this unforgettable event will continue to inspire future generations of artistes and audiences alike.
