Glimpses from Flyers Corporate Cup 2023 Volume 2
In continuing of its outstanding performance, the sports management organisation announced the start of The Flyers Corporate Cup 2023 Volume 2, which concluded on March 11th, 2023, at Chef’s Table Courtside, Shatarkul.
Flyers Sports arose from the combined enthusiasm and love of a group of friends for sports. Recognising the need of scouting and developing local youth players at different levels, Flyers Sports was created to provide a platform for aspiring athletes to display their abilities and receive the exposure they deserve. As a result, Flyers Sports has been effectively organising sporting events based on a tried and tested concept since its inception.
The sports management company, in keeping with its stellar track record, announced the start of The Flyers Corporate Cup 2023 Volume 2 on February 25th, 2023, with the final game taking place at Chef’s Table Courtside in Shatarkul on March 11th, 2023.
The participating teams produced incredible performances, and the tournament was a major success. The winners were announced at the end of two days of intense competition. The Cup winner was Decathlon, and Asutex came in second. After a close race, Mutual Trust Bank Ltd came out on top of Daraz to claim the Plate. East Coast Group won the Bowl award, while Somoy TV took second place.
Olio Orolio Olive Oil was the primary sponsor, with MAE providing the jerseys, The Punch Company providing the associate sponsorship, Sun Water providing the beverage partnership, and ICE Today providing the magazine partnership for this incredible event.
At the event, each of the 16 teams competed against one another in a round-robin format that was broken up into four groups, and they all had to play a minimum of four games. The teams Asutex, bKash, Daraz, Design Development Consultants, Decathlon, East Coast Group, Guardian Life Insurance, Marks & Spencer, Mutual Trust Bank Limited, EC Organics, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh, Prime Bank Limited, Shield 20, Somoy TV, Aqua Refinery, and Energypac were among those that took part in the competition.

In fact, there were a number of exceptional individual performances, which included one that earned Simum from Decathlon the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the competition. Shetu, who played for Daraz, finished as the game’s leading scorer, and Rashed, who played for Decathlon, was voted the tournament’s best goalkeeper. It was decided that Muntasir, who plays for Decathlon, was the best defender.
The tournament was a perfect exhibition of teamwork and a display of ability for corporate groups. There was hope among the event’s organisers that more business teams would be motivated to compete in subsequent years.
