Artist Ronni Ahmmed stunned the art community with his solo painting exhibition Gods and Beasts on 12 September at the Bengal Art Lounge. His exhibition captures religious, mythical and cultural ideas often binding them into one. According to Ronni, founding myths and shared ideas are in a process of individualization- in other words, customization. To be more precise, he believes that we live in an era where material gains are suited to personal requirements, hence spirituality also fits this bill. His paintings depict religious and mythical creatures in a different light. The exhibition is open for viewing till 17 October.
