Rupchanda and prominent national daily The Daily Star bring the third season of Super Chef. The cooking reality show started its journey in 2014. This year, several acclaimed judges with international exposure are included in the judging panel.
The judge panel will be graced by Shaheda Yesmin, founder of Jewel’s Kitchen, Syed Tazammul Huq Tareq, Executive Chef, Watercress Restaurant and famous actor and food enthusiast Tarik Anam Khan. The judges coming from abroad are not only world famous, they are amongst the best in their field. Emma Dean, the Master Chef Australia season 5 winner, Leslie Gilliams, 2nd runners up Master Chef USA 2014, Fredric Insisienmay, French Chef, Consultant and Culinary Expert, Be your Guest, Thailand and Gerard Wallace, Executive Chef, Bellagio will perform as guest judges in Super Chef 2016.
Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star, Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddek Ali, Chairman and Managing Director, NTV and Shoeb Md. Asaduzzaman, HSM, BEOL lifted the curtain of the show at The Daily Star Center on October 03, 2015. Inam Ahmed, General Manager, BEOL was also present in the program. As per the format of the show, participants have to register for regional rounds by dialing 06912777888. Winners of 13 regional events at Dhaka North, Dhaka South, Rajshahi, Bogra, Rangpur, Feni, Comilla, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal, Faridpur, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar will come to Dhaka for the central round.
This year’s prize money is 10 lac taka for the champion, a very high stake compared to other cooking shows. In addition, the first runner up will get 5 lac taka and the second runner up will get 2 lac taka. The 4th to 10th place-holders will also get attractive prizes.
