International Fashion Model hunt Competition, Face of Asia’s local part, Face of Bangladesh, recently took place in Dhaka in a five-star hotel on Sunday, 16 February.
The event was organized by Korban and Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee Jointly. This year, the winners were Umme Hafsa Mou, Smriti Akter, Nahid Khan and Alamin Ahmed Akash. All these four models will be sent to Seoul, Korea for competing in Face of Asia competition. Before the show, they will take part in a week-long grooming session under the guidance of international choreographer and fashion designers.
FOB is a platform that makes the dreams of our emerging models come true, by enabling them to show their talent in a global platform called Asia Model Festival.
This year more than one hundred applications were sent to participate in FOB. From those applications, FOB local committee selected 20 male and 20 female participants to the preliminary audition round. From them, 18 male and female applicants were finalized for the Gala round fashion show and final competition. Before the Gala round the participants underwent a rigorous training session by renowned choreographer and celebrity stylist Mahmudul Hasan Mukul.
The Gala round has seven judges to select the four winners. The list consisted of Grace Moon, International Fashion Designer, Mr. Kim, the first Asian Professional makeup artist in Christian Dior and Benedict Goh, one of the organizers of Singapore Fashion week.
From the Bangladesh part, Sarah Karim, renowned fashion designer; Peya Jannatul, Supermodel and entrepreneur; Rafiqul Islam Raf, leading fashion photographer and Tawhidur Rashid, Managing Editor of ICE Media judged 16 contestants.
The gala round had three rounds. Dresses provided during the Gala round fashion show was from 02, Rose by Nizhu and Butterfly by Shagufta.
The makeover of all the participants was done by AURA Beauty Lounge. The event was organized in association with ICE Today and BLOOM Model Management & Creative Agency. Among the international partners were AMFOC, Seoul Tourism Organization, Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, The Korea Times, I Love Seoul.
