Comic nerd by passion, CEO & Founder of Knock, Mehedi Hasan, began this business online at the end of 2014 after finishing his bachelor’s degree from Canada. Based on the popularity of badges back in the day, he started by designing 120 of them all by himself and turned his initial capital of only BDT 3900 into double the profit.
It was not just the era of badges, but of comic cons and cosplay. Marvel and DC, their comics, movies and gaming, alongside the anime community, were building up a fandom large and loud in Bangladesh for the very first time. What was required to quench the thirst of the fans were the unique designs and premium quality of collectables that Knock was able to provide. Pretty soon their popularity grew so much that despite having setbacks such as lack of storage, they were bringing in huge shipments of keyrings, action figures, wallets and T-shirts. Fortunately, by the end of 2016, fans were able to dive into the world of their favourite fiction and pop culture characters right at Knock’s brand new showroom at Jigatola.
