Make the Best of Your Eid Holiday

The biggest religious celebration of our country, Eid-ul-Fitr is almost at our doorstep. After an entire month of fasting, we finally get some days off to do things that we actually enjoy doing. To make your holiday a fruitful one, here are some of my picks for utilizing your Eid vacation to the fullest.

Spend time with loved ones:
With our fast-paced lives, we don’t really get much time to spend with the people we love. So this holiday, make the most use of these days and spend time with people whose presence matters in your life. Go back to your roots and cherish these moments in the company of your loved ones.

Do something extraordinary:
Too many workdays feel ordinary and fixed at a routine. Take this opportunity to feel energized and excited. Try something completely different and out of your comfort zone. Maybe even do something that will get your adrenaline going. Even hiking in an extraordinarily beautiful environment or doing some humanitarian work can give you a new outlook, making you ready to take on the world.

Revive your hobby:
If you had a hobby whether it is painting, singing, swimming, writing, etc. make this Eid an opportunity to revive that hobby. Take that color palette and find your way to the canvas, gather with your loved ones and sing your favorite song from college days. Indulge in this relaxing moment with something that you used to love and do.

Learn something new:
Maybe you think that since you are not in University anymore, you don’t have anything else to learn. But now is a great time to take informal classes to learn art, music, excel, presentation skills and many more. These quick learnings will add to your career when you go back to work after these Eid holidays.

Catch up with others:
Call up the friend you used to hang out with once, or may be the ex-colleague whom you miss working with, the relative that always messages you but you don’t get time to reply back. Let this Eid be a reason to revive, cherish and nurture few bonds.

Eid brings happiness, Eid brings us closer to the people we love. But moreover, Eid also brings us more opportunities to be a better version of ourselves. So this Eid, I hope you will make the most of the holidays and get back to work with a new and improved version of you.
