James Gunn getting dismissed from the latest installment of Guardian of the Galaxy franchise

After getting some of his oldest tweets pointed out by a conspiracy theorist, James Gunn was fired from the third installment of the marvel film series. However, the fans are strongly against this decision, therefore making a petition which currently has over 200,000 signatures, asking for his reinstatement. Even his co-workers spoke up, with Michael Rooker quitting Twitter in protest and Dave Bautista, who expressed his support for the director. Gunn was supposed to make an appearance at the Comic Con, before his invitation was supposedly taken back after the controversy.

Maines will play Nia Nal/ Dream Girl, a superhero from DC’s 1960s Adventure Comics whose precognitive abilities allow her to predict the death of her teammates.

The return of Buffy

Although Sarah Michelle Geller will not be returning to the show, there will be a new actress to replace her role as Buffy Anne Summers. Also, the cast is set to be new. Even though they haven’t confirmed the actors and actresses yet, Monica Owusu-Green, the writer, and Joss Whedon, the executive producer, have mentioned that they will keep us updated.

The book will be scripted with Justin Eisinger and Steven Scott. It will also be illustrated by artist Harmony Becker and released by IDW publishing

Johnny Depp announces the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Regardless of being accused of physically abusing his ex-wife, Amber Heard, Warner Bros brought Johnny Depp along to promote and talk about Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald at the 2018 San Diego Comic Con. The fact that Johnny Depp still has the role of Grindelwald has been quite controversial ever since the allegations. Ironically, Heard appeared with the cast of Aquaman on stage right after Johnny Depp left with the cast of The Fantastic Beasts. While Aquaman director James Wan and stars Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman and Yahya Abdul Mateen II took part in the press event after the panel, Amber Heard was notably absent.
