Last Friday, 11th of May 2018 was the inaugural ceremony of “The Little Artist” – the long-awaited art exhibition hosted by The Abinta Kabir Foundation and Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts.
The art exhibition is the culmination of a series of Art Competition held throughout the months of February, March and April. Showcasing 66 artworks from 9 different schools, the exhibition is a proud homage to Founder Abinta Kabir’s and passion for the arts.
Renowned artist Kanak Chanpa Chakma and sculptor Hamiduzzaman Khan graced the event and expressed their appreciation for the artwork noting the brimming potential in our country’s budding artists.
After the inauguration, the event was opened to the public where proud parents could be seen strolling around the gallery admiring their children’s art. Flocks of students, escorted by their respective school teachers, trotted around beaming at their work on display.
Drawing inspiration from Abinta Kabir’s patriotic spirit, beautiful artwork done in pastels along with water and pencil color depicting historically and culturally significant days were on display. This initiative is a proud nod to the talented artworks inspired by the childish imagination.
