Raisa Rahim shares a few tips and tricks for battling the cold

You know winter is here when you dread having to wake up early or wash your hands with cold water. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg; you’ve also got the chilly winter breeze blowing at your face from all directions, causing your skin to become dry and chapped.

Warm water

Although hot showers feel good in winter, when you wash your face, make sure you use lukewarm water.

Softer touch

Moisturise your face immediately afterward you wash and dried it. Also, make sure you choose your moisturiser carefully. A good moisturiser would be the Amlaki Goodness oil, which will nourish your skin, leaving a silky, velvet feel to it. This oil is suitable for all skin types and is not sticky.

Shielded skin

Protect your skin from the sun at all times for it does more damage to your skin in winter than it does in summer. Don’t forget to use your sunscreen.

Hydration

We tend to drink water less frequently in winter and instead increase the intake of hot drinks such as tea and coffee. However, water plays a vital role in keeping your skin hydrated through the day and brings back moisture.

Body fresh

Remember to moisturise your body before bedtime. You can try out the Amlaki Skin Glowing oil; it will give your skin a smooth and glowing finish.

Just face it

We often ignore the importance of scrubbing our faces. Little do we know, scrubbing is essential because it gets rid of the dead skin, especially in winter. You can try Amlaki rice flour brightening scrub which removes your dead skin and makes your skin smooth and bright.

What’s cookin’?

In winter, our skin gets really fragile, and in turn, we need to include nutritious foods that are rich in minerals, water, and vitamins, especially vitamin C, Zinc etc.

Mask off

Use natural face mask which will give your skin extra shine. Amlaki moringa brightening face pack is great for a healthy, glowing skin. It removes your suntan, fades out spots and gives you a radiant glow.
