Pakistani cricketer Ghulam Haider Abbas attempts suicide during a match!

An emerging right-arm fast bowler, Ghulam Haider Abbas tried to kill himself during the match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Frustrated Abbas claimed that, he had been performing well at the club and zonal level but the selection board still didn’t give him the chance to play in first-class cricket matches for the Lahore team. He then revealed that, he was asked to pay them money if he wanted to play for the team.

As bribing was not an option for him, his hands were tied and he decided to barge into the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) ground and pour petrol on himself. Spectators of the match rushed to stop Abbas.

Abbas claimed that if he dies the LCCA officials will be held responsible.
