Attention seekers; emotional wrecks; volatile messes- people with depression are usually faced with these terms. Our world is such that as long as the problem isn’t tangible or medical, it doesn’t exist.
Unfortunately, the “apprentices of Sherlock Holmes” are not even close to understanding the anxiety, frustration and paranoia felt by those who suffer the brunt of the agony. They are not seeking attention; they just need somebody to understand what they are going through. But, with the callous attitude from others, it only shatters them. Trying overcomes any barrier
When you’re suffering from depression, your brain completely shuts down. The word “trying” will mean Gibberish to you.
Meds? Seriously now?
When you have those cringe-worthy, disturbing, painful thoughts which make you feel worthless, medicine helps subside the pain and gives you respite for just a while.
It can be worse
We know that there are millions suffering from this and conditions vary from person to person. For some it is difficult to hold on and can be overpowering. Reprimanding them will not help
Therapist? You’ve got to be kiddin’ with me!
Some of them need a helping hand. Whom do they go to when their friends and family give up on them? A psychiatrist. And that is completely okay
No! They are not FINE!
If they were fine, they wouldn’t be thinking they are ugly everytime they look in the mirror. They are not fine because, everytime somebody glances at them, they feel as if they are full of flaws.
