AkijBashir Group Enters the Cable Industry

AkijBashir Group takes another bold step forward in Bangladesh’s power and energy sector. Today, a property acquisition agreement was signed between AkijBashir Group and Eminence Electric Wire & Cables Limited at Hotel Sheraton in the capital. Under this agreement, AkijBashir Group’s subsidiary, AkijBashir Energy Limited, will begin producing safe and durable wires and cables using state-of-the-art technology and international-standard processes. The company announced that its products will be available in the market within this year. This new facility will be capable of manufacturing all types of wires and cables under one roof. With this groundbreaking initiative, AkijBashir Group aims to contribute significantly to industrial development and power safety in Bangladesh.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Taslim Md. Khan, Managing Director of AkijBashir Group; Mr. Md. Khorshed Alam, Chief Operating Officer; Mr. Mohammad Omar Faruq, Senior General Manager (Cable Operations); Engr. Mohd. Mashiul Haque, Managing Director of Eminence Electric Wire & Cables Ltd.; Mr. Adil Chowdhury, Managing Director of National Bank; Mr. Syed Rois Uddin, DMD of National Bank; Ms. Humaira Azam, Managing Director of LankaBangla Finance; Mr. Hasan Tanvir, DMD of Rupali Bank; Ms. Maksuda Khanam, DMD of EXIM Bank; along with other senior officials and representatives from the respective organizations.
