Zurhem’s ‘Solaris’ Collection to Illuminate Paris with Celestial Grandeur

In a historic moment for Bangladeshi fashion, luxury label Zurhem is set to unveil its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, ‘Solaris,’ in the heart of Paris during the prestigious Paris Fashion Week. This milestone event, orchestrated by The House of Vendôme, marks the brand’s first foray onto the international stage in the global fashion capital.

Since its inception in 2015, Zurhem has ascended to the pinnacle of Bangladeshi luxury fashion, crafting a distinctive blend of ready-to-wear and bespoke garments. Under the creative direction of the renowned Mehruz Munir, the brand has redefined the landscape of luxury fashion within Bangladesh, garnering international acclaim for its audacious designs and unwavering commitment to meticulous craftsmanship.

‘Solaris,’ the highly anticipated collection, draws inspiration from the Sun’s celestial journey, translating its dynamic phases into a compelling narrative of style. The collection comprises 20 meticulously designed ensembles, featuring 15 menswear and 5 womenswear pieces, each reflecting the Sun’s influence through intricate embellishments and striking silhouettes.

The collection’s colour palette mirrors the progression of a day, beginning with pristine white, symbolising dawn and sunrise, adorned with delicate pearl embellishments. As the day progresses, the collection transitions to gold, expressed through opulent beadwork and shimmering stones, capturing the brilliance of the golden hour. Green hues then emerge, interwoven with gold, evoking the lush landscapes of Earth as viewed from the vastness of space. Finally, deep black takes centre stage, enhanced with dark beadwork and embellishments, representing the profound mystery of the night sky.

Zurhem’s menswear, a hallmark of the brand, explores the interplay of structured tailoring and innovative layering. The collection features impeccably crafted suit jackets, tuxedos, overcoats, and parkas, reimagining classic silhouettes with a contemporary twist. Cropped jackets and bandhgalas are adapted for the European market, while bold statement pieces, such as corseted ensembles and floor-length trains, challenge the conventional boundaries of menswear. For womenswear, Mehruz Munir presents five dramatic couture gowns, each a testament to the artistry of haute couture.

The showcase is scheduled for March 8th, 2025, at the historic Chapelle Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc in Paris. Constructed in 1914 as a votive offering to Joan of Arc, the basilica, located in the 18th arrondissement, adjacent to the Church of Saint-Denys de la Chapelle, where Joan is believed to have prayed in 1429, provides a storied and evocative backdrop for Zurhem’s Parisian debut.

The House of Vendôme Paris, a fashion house dedicated to showcasing and empowering emerging designers through exclusive runway shows and curated events, is organisingthis landmark event. With a strong focus on elegance, quality, and sophistication, House of Vendôme provides a platform for talents to present their work under the Vendôme Paris label, expanding their reach in the European market.

Zurhem’s presence in Paris signifies not only a pivotal moment for the brand but also a significant step forward for Bangladeshi fashion on the global stage. This showcase promises to bride the gap between Bangladeshi craftsmanship and the pinnacle of international fashion.
