FEEL THE VOGUE

A look back at Winter Vogue, a two-day exhibition showcasing the best in local fashion, retail, lifestyle, and related services.

Winter Vogue, an exhibition featuring over 50 local brands in fashion, retail, lifestyle, and related services, took place on January 10 and 11 at the Aloki Convention Center. The event was presented by The Couture Club, a platform established by Tazrian Binte Ishaque Nity and Mafin Rahman, which supports emerging designers and entrepreneurs in showcasing their work, building their brands, and connecting with industry professionals. Nity is the founder and owner of Pinky Promise by Nity, while Mafin is the designer and owner of Mafin Rahman Couture.

Pinky Promise by Nity has blossomed under the visionary leadership of its founder and owner. Originally focused on exquisite sleepwear, the brand has expanded to include an ethnic pret wear line. Its growth reflects Nity’s unwavering passion and dedication to creating a fashion label that empowers modern women with elegant and versatile choices. She is the sole designer of the brand. Mafin Rahman Couture has swiftly become a leading name in women’s couture, celebrated for its distinctive fusion of traditional ethnic elements with contemporary luxury pret and fusion wear, solidifying its designer and owner’s status as a prominent figure in the fashion world. Nity and Mafin’s personal experiences as business owners inspired the creation of The Couture Club.

“When I first started exhibiting my brand, I encountered a significant disconnect. While sales were occurring, the support I received from the platforms felt lacking. I often found that my brand was gaining more popularity than the exhibitions themselves. “With The Couture Club, Mafin and I aim to truly empower emerging designers and entrepreneurs by providing them with the backing and visibility we yearned for during our own journeys,” shared Nity.

Winter Vogue, the inaugural exhibition presented by The Couture Club, offered a valuable platform for both established and emerging brand owners to connect with potential customers and expand their market reach. Visitors were treated to a captivating display of innovative designs, exquisite craftsmanship, and bold creativity.

Alongside Pinky Promise by Nity and Mafin Rahman Couture, the exhibition featured prominent labels such as Meher, Elor and Azran, the jewellery and menswear lines of Anzara, and K-Drobe. It also spotlighted fresh talent from clothing brands such as SHUI and November Rain, among others. Thinkspace consulted with visitors on interior design at the event, while Wander Woman and TBD Holidays provided travel planning services.

“Winter Vogue surpassed all our expectations! The incredible turnout and enthusiastic engagement from both visitors and participating brands were truly inspiring. It was rewarding to witness customers not only browsing but also making significant purchases. We are immensely grateful for their support and excited to build upon this success in the second edition,” expressed Nity.

The Couture Club will host exhibitions for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, along with a runway show in October. Its second exhibition, The Eid Vogue Gala, is scheduled for March 11 to 13 at the Aloki Convention Center.

The title sponsor of Winter Vogue was Arbab Group. Pinky Promise Diamonds served as the powered-by partner, TBD Holidays was the travel partner, Dhaka PR was the promotional partner, and ICE Today was the magazine partner.
