Dhaka Summer Con 2023, was the ultimate destination for Comic fans and pop culture enthusiasts. This exciting convention offered a plethora of activities for all, whether it was music, cosplaying, games, sports, comics, or simply seeking a fun-filled experience. Attendees enjoyed meeting their favorite comic book artists and writers, exploring new graphic novels, enjoying live music, engaging in games, witnessing captivating concerts, and much more.

The event boasted a diverse range of attractions including cosplay, concerts, comics, experience zones, E-sports, gaming, kids zone, and a delectable array of healthy food choices from Kazi Farms Kitchen. The event catered to attendees of all ages, making it a perfect family outing. 

The pop culture festival was held for three days at Hall 3 and Hall 4 of Dhaka’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on July 13, 14, and 15 with various exciting activities. The atmosphere at Dhaka Summer Con was brimming with excitement and happiness, as young people enthusiastically took part in the event.

On the first day of the three-day concert, eight bands performed. These bands included Old Dhaka Diaries, Feroze Jong, Indalo, Bangla Five, Level Five, Owned, Odd Signature, and Dads in the Park. In addition to the music performances, there were various events such as Hatirpool Sessions, K-Pop Performances, and a performance by Rayhan Islam Shuvro.

The second day’s activities featured Messianic Era, Naive, Encore, Subconscious, Aftermath, Sonar Bangla Circus, Ashes, Bramhaputra, Cryptic Fate, and Artcell who showcased their musical talents on stage. The attendees also got to witness K-pop performances and an exciting rap battle. In addition to the wonderful bands that took the stage by storm, the spectators were treated to a special cosplay group performance, and a panel discussion by Cartoon People. Individuals who attended also came decked up in all sorts of cosplays from different of anime.

 

The last day of the event witnessed performances from bands like Apekkhik, Mechanix, Karnival, Black, Arbovirus, Avoid Rafa, and Warfaze’. AK Rahul, Black Zang, ,Shafayat, Shishir Ahmed featuring Rafa, Istiaque, and Bakhtiar’s debut solo live performance mesmerised the audience. Additionally, a panel discussion was held in the presence of Ahsan Habib to commemorate 45 years of Unmad magazine. K-pop and hip-pop performances continued to entertain the festival-goers. The cosplay competition was evaluated by experienced foreign judges. Moreover, Don Sumdany, the Chief Inspirational Officer at Don Sumdany Facilitation & Consultancy, was an esteemed guest speaker throughout the event.

Dhaka Summer Con 2023 was an eventful gathering that was full of excitement. MediaQuest Bangladesh, a renowned event management and public relations company, was the brains behind the organisation of this amazing festival. Tariqul Sumon, co-founder of MediaQuest Bangladesh and convenor of Dhaka Summer Con 2023, voiced his happiness with the event by saying, “Dhaka Summer Con has turned into a meeting place for all of the popular music bands of the country.” This event showed that it was  not only a concert; rather, it was the most significant pop culture festival in the nation.
