Sonia Musa Dhaka’s Fall 2022 Collection, ‘Naaz’ has been launched with a fashion show at Bay’s Edge Gallery at the Gulshan on 28 October 2022.
Sonia Musa Dhaka’s fashion show showcased a variety of intricate ensembles designed at Sonia Musa Dhaka’s own atelier. The name of the collection, ‘Naaz,’ means elegance. It starred some of the most renowned models in Dhaka, including showstopper Bidya Sinha Mim, who brilliantly showcased the beauty and elegance of the designs. The event was a captivating treat to the audience.
The show consisted of three gradual acts. It started with the must-have shades of pastels, and gradually evolved into bolder colours. This was meant to show how a woman’s style changes from daytime to evening, from everyday life of the day to the soirees that take place at night. The pieces were a wide variety of fusion outfits, with sarees, kameezes, lehengas and pantsuits, all having the distinct fusion aspect that makes Sonia Musa Dhaka’s designs so unique.
The designer makes twists to traditional wear in a truly unique way. ‘Naaz’ is an intricate balance of boldness and elegance with delicate embroidery and embellishments styled in a way that is truly luxurious. The latest collection caters to the modern Bangladeshi woman who wants to keep traditions alive while incorporating modernity in their outfits. This collection is absolutely perfect for them for the upcoming wedding season.
Reminiscence Photography was the photography and videography partner, Privé by Nahila Hedayet was the beauty partner, and Summer by Sanjida was the jewellery partner. In addition, Creato was in charge of event management and decor, Avari oversaw strategy and communications, and the fashion choreography and styling were done by Azra Mahmood.
