M SHAHADAT HOSSAIN KIRON, CHAIRMAN, DEKKO LEGACY GROUP, MADE HIS DEBUT AS A PHOTOGRAPHER THROUGH A SOLO EXHIBITION.
Nature is an infinite source of inspiration and an endless catalyst of creation. Forests, lakes, rivers, clouds, winds, stars and flowers – every form of animate or inanimate existence in nature leaves its impression upon the soul of a human. It is so powerful, so strong! Capturing its essence is not easy – your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself. Only a few of us are blessed with the artistry to capture its spirit through lenses.
M Shahadat Hossain Kiron is one of those individuals who has enabled us to appreciate the beauty of nature while caged inside an urban life. He is the Chairman of Deco Legacy Group, which comprises parts of RMG units, accessories and food manufacturing divisions. Shahadat Hossain took time out of his busy life to invigorate his soul by immersing himself in nature, often capturing these moments with his camera. One hundred and twenty-two of these moments were on display in an exhibition titled ‘Alor Noksha’ from 15-21 February 2022. A photographer by passion, his hobbies also include gardening and keeping birds.
The exhibition was a mere glimpse of the vast collection of 10,000+ pictures he amassed throughout the journey with his camera. The photographs on exhibit were divided among forty-three titles, including ‘Shironamhin,’ ‘Shuvrotar Prarthona,’ ‘Kothin Komol,’ ‘Joltoronge Bornilota,’ ‘Srishtir Bhumika’ and ‘Khoniker Otithi.’ These pictures were the embodiment of the aesthetic diversity nature has to offer. The photos taken outside the country revealed the beauty that many in the country are not aware of. Curated by Chandra Shekhar Shaha, the exhibition was arranged at QRIUS Gallery. The event was inaugurated by three renowned photographers of the country, Muneef Wasif, Shafiqul Alam Kiron and Joy K Chowdhury.
