Life sure has become a bit anticlimactic as the pandemic rages on, but there is no reason you can’t make yourself a delicious snack and sit back to Netflix and chill. Here are two tantalising recipes by Fabiha Nowsin Prova, the brain behind the popular food blog ProvaEats.
Sago Jelly Milk Drink
Ingredients:
• Strawberry sago (soaked in syrup)
• Different kinds of jelly
• Warm milk
• Condense milk
• ¼ custard powder
• Vanilla essence
• Whipped cream (optional)
First, put the strawberry sago in the glass, then the cubed jelly. After that, pour in the milk mixture, which consists of 1 cup warm milk, ¼ custard powder, 1-2 tbsp condensed milk, and vanilla essence. Top it with whipped cream, extra sago and basil seeds. Serve it cold and enjoy!
Honey Ginger Glazed Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
• Chicken tenders
• Milk
• Vinegar/lemon juice
• Egg
Dry ingredients:
• Flour
• Corn flour
• Bread crumbs
• Garlic powder
• Pepper & salt
• Chilli flakes
For the glaze:
• Butter
• Honey
• Chopped ginger
First, mix the wet ingredients with a bit of salt and marinate the chicken for 30/60 mins. Then mix all the dry ingredients. Pick one marinated chicken, place it in the dry mixture, and then dip it in the milk marination and again in the dry mix. Then shallow fry the chicken. Next, add one tbsp butter honey, chopped ginger on a pan for the glaze and cook it for 4/5 minutes. Lastly, smother the crispy chicken tenders with the glaze. And you are done!
