Dress Code: Glam

According to Rabab Rahman, the Founder and Creative Director of the brand, RaBabe was born when she saw that most people opted for western clothing over sarees while attending evening parties with a black tie, cocktail or glam dress code.

Last month the launch of a luxury, saree label, RaBabe, took Dhaka city by storm. RaBabe Debut Runway 2021, which took place on the 27th of March 2021, exhibited the ever line of ‘cocktail sarees’. According to Rabab Rahman, the Founder and Creative Director of the brand, RaBabe was born when she saw that most people opted for western clothing over sarees while attending evening parties with a black tie, cocktail or glam dress code. By offering a sexy spin to the saree, Rabab hopes to redefine the perception that sarees can only be traditional.

Some of the biggest names in Bangladesh’s fashion industry attended the event and the collection was showcased by some of the top models of the country such as Zannatul Ferdaus Meghla Inaya, Shabnaz Sadia Emi, Azad Farhana Limi, Ruksana Ali Hera, Tangia Jaman Methila and Maria Kispotta.
