Jeon Jung-kook (23), popularly known as Jungkook of BTS, was just a small-town boy with limitless dreams and aspirations only seven years back. Fast forward to 2020, and he’s named the Sexiest International Man Alive. The K-pop sensation beat Dan Levy, Keith Urban, Matthew Rhys, and Paul Mescal to make it to the top of the list.

“There is this culture where masculinity is defined by certain emotions, characteristics. I’m not fond of these expressions,” Suga of BTS stated in an interview. Men who merely have muscles and a great beard are no longer the trend for sexy. Perhaps instead, macho men have been around for too long. Maybe it’s high time for a modification in everyone’s thought process to move on from the typical Aquaman.
Amusingly, the fact that a 23-year-old Korean boy has outshined all the other extraordinary nominees in the run for the Sexiest International Man Alive also enrages a particular population. It is unanticipated news for this portion of the populace that Korean men are paving all way with their clean shaved looks. Most commonly, the wacky rage of this chunk of the population comes from the fact that male K-pop artists look like women. The feminine hunch from these male artists is unendurable to this furious group of commoners. These aggravated opinions often lead to a heated up war on social media, including two types of warriors: the disturbed bunch and the exasperated fans of BTS. They never end well. Sadly, these events spread immeasurable negativity and hatred every day.
Although unconventional to many, Jungkook sends a foolproof vibe that anything can be manly, not just a set of standard features. He clearly did not reach the position he’s at now with precisely nothing. From giving a motivational speech at the UN Assembly to donating one million dollars to the BLM movement, the global superstars always come in peace as prodigious role models with positive messages. “The constant reminder of finding our true selves and loving ourselves from Jungkook and the boys is what makes him sexy!” another fan pointed out.
