Jarwa House and ICE Today are starting a brand new annual award ceremony to promote the wedding industry of Bangladesh. The “Best in the Wedding Industry Awards” presented by Jarwa House plans to bring wedding movers and shakers of fashion, retail, beauty, wedding planning and photography and catering of Bangladesh under one roof. Avi Roy Director of Jarwa House, Nawshin Khair Executive Director, Tawhidur Rashid Managing Editor of ICE Media Ltd and Goutom Saha of Fashion Editor of ICE Today were present at the press conference to talk about the first of its kind award.
The first-ever Wedding Industry Awards ceremony will acknowledge the finest names in wedding services for a truly elegant, stylish and sophisticated wedding experience. ‘Best in the Wedding Industry Awards’ will roll out in the form of a lavish event at Le Meridien Dhaka on September 28th commencing from 7 pm.
Partnering with the campaign are – Inglot as the cosmetic partner, Aura Beauty Lounge the makeover partner, Laser Treat as the skincare partner, Mohammad & Sons the watch partner, Le Meriden Dhaka the hospitality partner and Explore Spa by Le Meridien Dhaka as the spa partner. The media partner of the program is Concito PR.
The first category Fashion & Retail under which the sub-categories are BestBridal Retail, Best Designer: Female Attire, Best Designer: Male Attire and breakthrough Designer of the Year.
The second category is Beauty Industry and its sub-categories are Trendsetting Enterprise in the Industry, Wedding Lookmakerof the decade, Enterprise/Brand with Most Robust Growth, Dedicated HaircareBrand and Bridal Makeover.
The third category is The Event, and the sub-categories here are Venue Decoration, Wedding Planning, BestCatering Company, and Most Preferred Wedding Venue.
The fourth category to be awarded is Photography under which the sub-categories are Photographer per excellence, ProductionHouse of the Year, Cinematographer, and Wedding Film of the Year.
A fifth category called the Honeymoon Destination will award resorts. And finally, there will be a category for SpecialAwards.
A special Jury board will be formed to select the winners of the award from the submitted nomination papers. The categories are tentative and the rights are reserved by the organizers to change depending on the availability of the nominations.
