YELLOW by BEXIMCO and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized ‘Fashion Fest 2019’ in BUFT permanent campus in Ashulia on March 20, 2019. The founder and chairman of BUFT, Muzaffar Uddin Siddique, executive director of Yellow, Shehryar Burney and vice-chancellor, Professor Eng. Ayub Nabi Khan was present as guests.
The event was divided into 03 segments; workshop on fashion, creative design exhibition, and fashion show. Mr. Chetan Chittauria, head of design at YELLOW conducted the workshop on fashion for the current students of BUFT. There was a virtual session where some accomplished international fashion personnel like Rahul Vijay, Fashion Editor of ELLE Magazine India, Siddhartha Bansal, established designer in India, Sushant Abrol, a successful fashion retail entrepreneur in India and Mandeep Mandy certified makeup artist in Canada shared their practical industry experience with the students. For creative design exhibition, 56 highly talented students displayed their creative designs and 03 top winners were rewarded. YELLOW selected 25 models for ‘YELLOW Fashion Show’ out of 130 applicants. These student models wore YELLOW’s boishakh collection/2019 and spring collection/2019. The auditorium was fully packed with more than 300 students, faculty members and invited guests. The purpose of this initiative by YELLOW was to prepare the future leaders of the fashion industry and to engage them for a learning experience with YELLOW team.
