Daraz’s wedding carnival is on full swing. From the 23 December to January 6, it will be bringing to you some of the best designers, benarasi sarees and products at the most unbelievable prices. A designer who has been turning heads with her passion for designs is Shagufta Osman. She is the brains behind Butterfly by Shagufta and ICE Today got the opportunity to get to know more about the talented designer.
Shagufta began pursuing her passion in 2011 in a casual manner before deciding to pursue it professionally from 2013. “I made a few tops with some money I had saved up and shared it on facebook. I got overwhelming response which influenced me to continue pursuing designing”, she recalls. She always had a knack for painting and that slowly diverted to the realms of dress making. Her wedding collection contain both traditional and modern themes. The drive for introducing world class designer wear to the local consumers motivated her. “I love glam, glitz and extravagance and that is exactly what my wedding collection reflects”, she added.
