You know you’re still not over Eid holiday if you do the following

The days leading up to Eid are filled with anticipation, fun and joy. We make endless shopping trips, plan out outfits and let’s not forget about all the good food. It is hard to let go of these amazing things and accept that all good things must come to an end! You are not alone when it comes to feeling the post-holiday blues. If you are doing the following you are definitely not alone my friend.

1)    Are you sleep deprived and binge-watching Netflix shows?

Seheri timings can really mess with your sleep cycle. So if you find yourself smiling back at your reflection on your laptop screen after your fifth hour into your favourite Netflix series, don’t be surprised. However, it’s time you stop expecting food at midnight!

2)    The guilt trip

Still feel a pang of guilt when sipping your water or stuffing your face with food in front of people? You guessed it, you are still in that Ramadan mindset. Let it sink in buddy.

3)    Haleem/jilapi withdrawal

The supply of Haleem has fallen considerably and so has your mood level. Craving one of the most delicious Iftar staples is only normal. Not to mention the lack of jilapi aka sugar fix has also left you unsatisfied. Don’t worry time heals all things.

4)    All is fun and games until your eidi runs out

Eid is perhaps the only time when most of us feel fully loaded with cash that came from absolutely no hard work. Eid is long gone folks, so is all the smell of crisp 100-take notes.

5)    End of Eid break equals heartbreak

Back from a serene destination, you’ll find yourself feeling that heartache as you reminisce the trip. You may also spend most times rummaging through photos or going back to your Instagram feed to see the beautiful beach that you just visited during Eid holiday?

6)    Tailor disaster continues

Ladies, we have all been there, done that. Every year this is one nightmare you cannot escape before Eid. And the heartbreak is as real as a breakup, especially when you have to wear the badly fitted dress on Eid and wait till the holiday is over to track down your tailor and give him a mouthful.
