Although they are often overlooked in the international scene, there can be no doubts that Bangladesh has some of the finest looking male models in South Asia. This fact was further cemented when Buzzfeed made a list of 23 Stunning South Asian Men and four of them were Bangladeshis. In a list that features titans of Bollywood like Hrithik Roshan and Ranvir Singh, our very own Asif Azim, Iftekhar Zaib, Nibir Adnan Nahid and Jan Uddin shines on and shows the world the kind of beauty Bangladesh has in store for it. Buzzfeed hasn’t disclosed what criteria the list if based on, however, seeing our men’s name on the list is reason enough to rejoice, eh? The recognition of ‘A-listers’, sharing space with our own crop of talent is a significant and noteworthy acknowledgement. “It’s a huge moment in my life that I get to represent my country in a list containing some of Bollywood’s biggest celebrities. Asif Azim put our fashion industry on the map and started the trend of representing Bangladesh on international platforms and it feels amazing that I get to do the same. I have recently started working internationally and I hope this gives me a chance to expand the fashion industry in Bangladesh. I want to inspire the future generations so that more people are encouraged to enter the modelling industry. Bangladeshi models are often neglected internationally and I have worked really hard for 8 years to change that notion, it feels great to achieve success on that front.”

“To be ranked among one of the most stunning South Asian men feels really special as if it has fulfilled my purpose of being in the modelling industry. This is as big a moment for the modelling industry as it is for me. Our achievement is also a testament to the fact that the modelling industry has come a long way.
