Anika Rashid grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and since childhood has fostered a lifelong attraction to beauty and glamour – always dreaming of escaping to a world of fantasy. With her signature style, Anika has created a magical studio that is scattered around the world. Having made her mark in London, the UK, Bangladesh, India, Hong Kong, China and Thailand, she has served time with numerous international fashion houses and high street fashion brands in Europe since 2005. She brings a stunning personality to fashion design, as well as styling and luxurious product design with Swarovski elements. Her work has brought her recognition by catering to a distinct clientele.
Anika presented her debut collection in 2006, a ‘Hand-Crafted’ product line, with the European Union in Frankfurt. Anika then moved to Preston, Lancashire (England) to undertake a degree that would allow her to develop her skills in fashion. In 2010, she presented, as designer and creative director, the Anikaires collection for the first time at Graduate Fashion Week, London. This opportunity allowed her to gain significant momentum, “I was the one and only international student of the fashion department in 2010 and today I am a proud UCLAN Alumni. University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) has changed my existence in fashion. And I wish to go back and gain more degrees in fashion, basically the learning process – the knowledge was never ending.”
Soon after, Anikaires Studio established itself as an experimental journey in luxurious fashion.
Anikaires is a celebration, heralding a century’s worth of high fashion. A brand birthed to trumpet the vanity, empowerment and sheer dignity of being born a woman. Anikaires revels in the spirit of earlier decades of fashion, aiming to curate a collection showcasing a modern aesthetic; albeit one that nods to and acknowledges its past.
Today, Anika is the Founder & Creative Director of Anikaires
She is a dual graduate of Fashion Design and Fashion Promotion, as well as Brand Management. Her distinctive work is as a designer, stylist, model, blogger, trend analyst continues unabated. Her style is inarguably South Asian, but influenced by Europe.
