Mysterious posters of a new Nokia X appears in China

At the Mobile World Congress 2018, HMD Global, the makers of Nokia phones, announced five new devices to be launched throughout the course of the year. Ranging from feature phones to high-end smartphones, they were the Nokia 8110 4G, the Nokia 1, the Nokia 6, the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. However, it now seems that Nokia has been holding out on us as new posters have surfaced in China showing images of an all new Nokia X.

Nokia 8 Sirocco, one of the five announced Nokia phones coming out this year

The digital posters were spotted and photographed by a couple of random moviegoers in China. Naturally, this has raised a lot of speculations inside the tech community. The new Nokia X could be a revamped model of the previous Nokia X, an entry-level smartphone which was released on the March of 2014 alongside the Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL. Or, it could also be possible that the “X” stands for 10 and this could be HMD Global’s latest flagship smartphone. According to the digital posters, it appears that the device may have a metal body with rounded corners built around a 2.5D curved screen on the front. There are also talks that the phone will run on either Qualcomm Snapdragon or MediaTek processors and will have 4GB and 6GB variants. Furthermore, it is yet not known whether the phone will be available globally or only in Asia. As of now, no official statement has been released to the general public regarding the appearances of the digital posters by HMD Global.

All the rumors and speculations regarding the 2018 Nokia X will be put to rest on April 27th, the date of the launch, also according to the posters.
