Airtel Buzz just released the new viral song “Viral Bhai”. Well, it isn’t viral yet but a song with the word viral in it like a gazillion times ought to be viral, right?
Oh what a cliché!
Airtel doing it right with the hopes of a song becoming viral that highlights all the viral videos of the past year. Why create something new when you can just summarize something from the internet and still get good grades?
What is music without the beat drop?
Even Viral Bhai admitted that a drop that loud and appalling is crucial to go viral. What is wrong with us?
Negligible empathy.
Making fun of people who went viral for whatever reasons is not morally wrong. Why care how they feel because in the end becoming viral is all that matters, right?
Controversy buys you stardom
Okay, this may be true. Airtel made sure to include examples of this by mentioning the Fuad-Al Muqtadir and Shafin Ahmed feud that was planned to sell an upcoming project. Airtel didn’t even miss the Ali G-Star craze on the internet who raised a controversy of his own.
Being extra is the way to go…
Airtel included surprise appearances of Naila Nayem and Hero Alam to make fun of themselves. What to do if you can’t be funny? Why, overdo it, of course. If you laugh harder at yourself, maybe the rest will too.
Airtel always produced heart touching, original skits and music. But even the good sometimes wants to go all bad boy. And it might work out in the end because who doesn’t get weak at the sight of a bad boy.
