Remember the impact Gonojowar’s launch had upon Nemesis fans back in May? Audiences from both near and far poured into Dhaka’s KIB- Krishibid Institution Bangladesh, to not just witness the unveiling of one of the most anticipated albums in Bangladeshi rock music but also catch a glimpse of the band rocking out loud to some of their latest numbers. It’s August and the love for Gonojowar still shines brighter than the sun. In fact, one of its songs is currently taking the internet by storm. Yes we’ve got
Tomar Kotha Shune buzzing deep inside our ears; but could you blame us? Time and again, Zohad Reza Chowdhury surprises us with his powerful vocals. In case you’re feeling down, this song’s strong lyrics will lift your spirits in no time.
The video of Tomar Kotha Shune is as exhilarating as the song itself. We particularly loved the transitioning scenes of Dio Haque behind the drums and Raquibun Nabi Ratul playing a soothing solo on his axe, which eventually segued into Sultan Rafsan Khan’s mean solo. The revolving shots of him synced perfectly with the music. Moreover the play of lights against the monochrome background, alongside the shadows of the musicians in action, really does a fantastic job in showing the stellar performance that Zohad and his comrades gave. Needless to say, this video was done flawlessly; kudos to Marib Alam
and The Fabricators for showing that simplicity never quite runs out style!
