Our days are scheduled by tea breaks. However, apart from its obvious role of a daily pick-me-up, this potent brew can work miracles and has proven its versatility as more than just a drink:
Soak in tea
You can whip up the tea bath by adding 3 tablespoons of tealeaves to hot water. Cool it down before settling in for an enjoyable bath.
Start afresh
Boil a tablespoon of peppermint tea in a cup of hot water, and you have yourself a refreshing and soothing mouthwash to begin and end your day with.
Rejuvenate those limp locks
Soak a bag of green tea in a cup of hot water for 25 minutes and let it cool. Take the tea liquor and mix it with a cup of Castile soap and a tablespoon of olive oil. You can also add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance.
Matcha tea for exfoliation
Due to its abundance of antioxidants, matcha tea can make for a great scrub.
Treat for your eyes
Just by applying warm, damp tea bags on closed eyelids for 20 minutes, dark circles and puffiness can be reduced, giving those tired eyes a much needed break.
Smoothens Wrinkles
Soak a paper towel in cooled green tea, squeeze out the excess liquid and place it on your face to take advantage of its revitalising effect
Soothe that Sting
Wet tea bags on pesky insect bites provide instant relief.
Placate the Pimples
Apply cooled green tea liquor onto your skin, and follow it up with a moisturiser for an acne-free look.
Drain a Boil
Affix a wet tea bag overnight on the boil. It should be gone by the morning.
Kitchen hack
Instead of angrily scrapping at the bottom of your burnt out pans, fill it with hot water and a black tea bag to help breakdown the grease making it easier to wash. You’re welcome!
