Celebrations are in order for Shoeb Faruquee, a Bangladeshi photographer, as he brings home the 2017 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year title. His award winning photograph was titled Food For God, which won the Food For Celebration category. This incredible photo frames the story of a male cook preparing food for worshipers assembling outside the kitchen. What drew the judges’ attention was the portrayal of religious and spiritual aspects of food and how food is considered more than just a source of physical nourishment; gradually becoming an integral part of our culture.
Shoeb Faruquee bagged close to 100 international awards since he started pursuing his passion. His photographs are published in renowned international dailies, magazines and journals such as Geo, Telegraph, Readers Digest, and the list goes on.
